Op 14 oktober 2016 vond de Black Achievement month lezing: “De rol van de Antilliaanse man in de Antilliaanse en Nederlandse samenleving” plaats in het Nutshuis te Den Haag. De lezing en discussieavond  werd door Vereniging Antilliaans Netwerk (VAN) georganiseerd. Na de lezing verzorgd door Ocan voorzitter drs. Glenn Helberg en daaropvolgende paneldiscussie onder leiding van Noraly Beyer  kende het programma enkele leuke verassingen.
