Dear Tirzah,

Awel Si! You did it!

I cannot say: “finally”,  because you reached this milestone with the same speed you decided to go for it ku speed di jet! And no one could talk you out of it!

As you recall when you first told me about the idea to write a book my advise to you was to continue working on methods to generate earnings from your other brainchild Online magazine Colours before starting a new project. I questioned your new plan to write a book sharply but you had not only already made up your mind

DEH WOMAN HAD DONE STAAT WRITIN DEH DAM BOOK! 😉

Of course when writing an autobiography there are always some sensitive topics and issues for those involved but also some very humoristic stories like how Pedro, you and I used to jump through the bedroom window on Friday and/or Saturday nights with our youngest sibling Miguel as our bridge over troubled waters as we had to jump over him because his bed was right under the window in the boy’s bedroom. Even then you had a main organising role as you wer responsible for making sleeping puppets out of all kinds of stuff to replace us so that our parents would think we were sound asleep in bed.

Like I said: just last year August 2015 (if I’m not mistaken) you set off with an endless speed and perseverance  and…

LOOK AT YOU NOW! YOU TRULY DESERVE A LOUD APPLAUSE FOR WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED IN SUCH A SHORT TIME WITH AN INCREDIBLE FOCUS ON WRITING AND COMPLETING THIS BOOK WHICH STARTED OUT AS A MEANS BUT SOON BECAME A GOAL ! BOH NOTHING WRONG WIH DA!!

It is called FLEXIBILITY ANTO ABO TA REINA DEN ESEI!

Finally, Tirzah I do respect you and sometimes (not always!!!) even envy you in the positive sense of the word for that lightness and flexibility which of course is not always without risks, but which is sometimes necessary to reach our goals.

I therefore hereby promise you that I’ll do my best to help you GET AHEAD with this book that definitely has the ability to inspire, encourage and empower our Caribbean youngsters in general and our Caribbean girls in particular to GO AHEAD and do what it takes to pursue their dreams!

Also on behalf of Marjo: Masha Pabien ku bo buki!

Yo lil disgustin sistah who always have these setta questions, con mucho cariño,

Nene/Antonia
